Bluetooth Phone Integration - which is the best 'phone ?
I have just taken delivery of a new 09 MY XS.
My existing Nokia E90 'phone will pair with the Disco, but only allows hands-free no other features at all. This isn't surprising since it's not even on the LR list of supported 'phones.
It looks as if I shall have to upgrade my 'phone, but before doing so would appreciate guidance, in particular waht 'phones can take full advantage of LR's PTI, and offer e-mail, web-browsing etc..
My preference is Nokia and the E71 looks as though it could fit the bill.
Thanks in advance.

Not really sure of the best phone to get but what I can advise is DONT get a Samsung Omnia. It is . Everything connects and I have full connectivity and all the features its just the whole operation of the phone itself is useless.Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it

E71 works just fine - Phone book integration works just fine. Th only thing that does not work is last number redial from the wheel buttons. Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond
Sadly Gone : MY08 D3 TDV6 HSE : Stornoway + Alpaca + Privacy + BAS Remap
That's reassuring - although I understood that "all" functions "should" work with the E71.

I'd be interested in where you heard this - the extra features would be useful (all though not essential)Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond

Slightly OT but anyone know if Nokia do a phone that can sync with MS Exchange yet? When I last tried their Symbian OS wouldn't do this so it was a non starter for me.2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

E71 syncs with MS exchange - just install the Nokia Mail for Exchange software or Roadsync.
Works very well - for me at least.Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond

i've just looked at the latest LR interactive bluetooth website and it looks like the features on the e71 available depends on the VIN..
I need to check my VIN to see what I "should" be gettingAlso Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond

All I can get my E90 to do is pair with the Discovery.
The steering wheel buttons allow me to answer a call, but that's all.
Have you, or anyone else, managed anything more - I assume so as you say that you have synced with MS exchange.

hmmm...
the e71 shows only "Partial function" with VIM 453xxx. This omits the "call list" features, all other features seem supported.
However, when the VIM gets above around 493xxx then the "call list" feature is supported.
I wonder if this is a hardware or software limitation in the car. Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond
