Brake Pad Warning Light
I've got my brake pad warning light coming on intermittently and not something I have come across before. The warning systems that share the same earth splice and terminal stud are all ok, so the issue is isolated to the brake pad sensor loop.
Any suggested locations to look for damage on the wiring loom?
(ie it is cold out there, the plastic is all stiff and I'm not exactly at full strength at the moment, so pointers appreciated)

Are your brake pads known to be okay? Got to be first looksee rather than go wiring fault first off?2011 MY D4 HSE

Pads are fine. The warning circuit works by physically severing a sacrificial wire loop when the pad drops below a set thickness. An intermittent warning should not be possible as you have to physically replace the sense wire to make the warning go away.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

A new sensor is about £5, in fact I bought the front and rear for £8 as I’m having the same issue, yet to fit them.

I had similar on the rear offside when I first bought the motor, turns out the little spring clip that holds the sensor onto the pad had decided to go off on holiday and hte sensor was moving about on the pad.
New sensor sorted it out

If only a sensor change was easy(!) but I will buy both and take it from there. Both of them look fine and feel secure so presuming there is an intermittent open somewhere.

I broke a sensor when changing the rear pads and discs and epb. I didn't have a spare so left it attached, wire was still intact but plastic had broken when i removed it as was brittle. I got an intermittent warning. changed the sensor and all fixed.

Question ? Does the rear handbrake shoes let you know when they are worn? Just thinking about an ongoing fault currently which pops up from time to time?

Rear pads have a warning. I think (so could be wrong) the only warning the rear hand brake pads give are when the epb mechanism starts squealing.
