It's an interesting situation. If MPs are supposed to follow the "Will of the People" TM then the Govt might well lose. A fair few MPs are in constituencies that voted to remain. If they do their job - to represent their constituents (aka The People) - they'll vote against the Govt which will make May's position untenable.
Interesting times...Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Following a lot of last minute horse trading by the Tory Whips, it appears that the Govt is winning each Lords Brexit Amendment Bill vote by approx. 52% to 48%. Rather coincidental.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

What more is there to say that has not already been said? We’re like dogs chasing their tails. Round and round we all go.
Wait! This is fun. Let’s carry on.
On the question of who’s stupid, Brexit has spawned a new acronym, “IYI” - Intelligent Yet Idiot. Happily, it’s palindromic and can be used by both sides of the debate. MY91 110 CSW, so long ago I can barely remember it - sold

Ooh, I do love a palindrome. Always slightly sad that they couldn't think of a word for what a palindrome is that was itself a palindrome. Then it would have been onomatopoeic too. Which would have been lovely. 8)Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

And this whole fiasco was to appease a small but vocal minority in the Tory party.
Knowing what we know know as we go through the process, hand on heart, do leavers really believe that people would still vote to leave?
Ideology vs reality. Its a complete fack up.
Er, I thought 17.4 million voted to leave the EU, not what I would call a small minorty.
Personally I think that talk of a second referendum is disgusting, showing a complete disregard for democracy, but then the EU are never to concerned about democracy.
If I was leading the negotiations I would tell the EU to forget about the £40 billion quid to prop up their finances until they start being sensible.
The EU has far more to lose than we have if we tell them to sod off without a deal.
