Assistance with fixing my car, due to a non serviceable part not operating correctly.
Software update for every Land Rover with the same 3.0l Diesel to ensure that the non serviceable part operates correctly, and prevent other owners from having a very expensive bill.

Given the (over) complexity of the dozens of sensors and controllers all over the bloody cars, this ought to be a relatively simple thing.

It would be great if something came of this, but the oil pressure switch probably works fine, it will register correct oil pressure right up until the very last oil is sucked up, giving almost no warning of no oil.

As soon as I have stated that I am seeking legal advise, they have suddenly found that the warning light DOES have parameters programmed into it....Funny that
Does anyone have a diagram showing how the oil flow works in the 3.0 tdv6 please?

Not yet. Car still at Guy Salmon.
Been getting quotes. SWMBO has technically given green light for her purse to be opened to get the car repaired.
Still waiting on replies from JLR to emails on 2nd and 4th of April. Asking for reply from Senior Management, not the helpful customer service person.
Just had to use twitter again to ask for a reply.

As a reply to this, in line with freedom of info, I have asked for total numbers of vehicles reported to them with engine failure due to low oil. I have also asked for total number of vehicles reported to them with crank failure (just to see if they answer). As part of these requests, I have asked for the info to be broken down into MY etc. Don't expect to get very far, but hey more info for the Motoring Ombudsman and small claims court, if I go down that route.

Jaguar Land Rover are not a Public Limited Company, as we are not a publicly owned company, the Freedom of Information Act (2000) is not applicable in relation to your request. Therefore to confirm would not be able to provide you with the information requested and can only refer to our previous stance on the matter.
