My Bunged Up EPB....
Picking my car up from Lancaster Reading shortly, they've "cleaned it out and reset under warranty"...."this time".
According to the chap there, if I use my car "off road" then I have to go onto what they call an "arduous service schedule", 'cause, I'm off roading every week...ferfecksake. It's been muddy ONCE!
What a joke.
It's been back to them for this problem twice already, first time I'd never even seen a greenlane, second time was a couple of weeks ago, a month after a laning trip when it wasn't wet etc etc.
I'm kinda lost for words! Seems like next time I'll have to pay, failing that, I'll have to learn how to strip it down myself
Bodsy needs to run a "how to" at the next SE Meet, Welcome "Lola"

I think there's a fair few on here who have now completed this task.
If you must go charging up hils in sand and generally dirty stuff and pi**ing about in dirty water you have only yourself to blame....
You can always take the easy route - use P on the gear selector Its the second EPB.
I was scared sh*tless to use mine after it went off the first time outside the Premier Inn in Grimsby at 01.00 as I drove up and parked.
Didn't dare use it at home for ages - I'd have half the neighbourhood keeling over with heart attacks.
Stratstones Aylesbury wouldn't do mine under warranty - told me it wasn't covered, but did it "cheaper" as they had to replace a rear diff seal and the main bush on the rear suspension under warranty.....
Oh the joy of ownership Wouldn't change it for a thing tho FORECAST FOR TONIGHT: things have happened out there!!!

Really winds me up! Land Rover love showing their cars being used off road, but when you do use them you have to pay! eerrggghhhh Really winds me up. Still if they cleaned all the crap from Hogmor off then that's worth a few quid. I've cleaned mine twice and mud still seems to be seeping out from the panels.D3 HSE MY05 Auto

I was referring to cleaning the car not the EPB. If you're looking for a guide on cleaning the car then pop round to mine and you can have a practical lesson D3 HSE MY05 Auto

I wouldn't mind but it's not as though I'm out getting it filthy every weekend It's only been really dirty the sodding once!!
It was like I was being accused of making it do stuff it shouldn't. Fair play if I'd trashed the suspension or some other daft fault, but I drove through some mud, whoooopy dooo.
Cheers Waz...I'm not surprised you were cacking it mate You and Discostu should have been prime candidates for some issues!
I knew I should't have gone through that puddle 3 times
Stu..I'm glad it lashed it down with rain last night, saved me an hour with the two buckets Welcome "Lola"

Been there got the T shirt , complained and complained to LR and got no where, arduous service it is , or dont use it and/or learn how to clean it Its not difficult
Best way forward is not to use it whilst off road and give it a few days before you start using it again In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
Andrew, That's what I did after I had mine done. Sort of let everything dry and settle and it is still working like it should....
still seem to be carrying lumps of hamshire around with me, every time I go through rain, water, puddles etc there is a yellow ring of Hogmoor confidence around my motor and little beaches on the rim in between each of the spokes at the bottom! Me, I praying for more rain FORECAST FOR TONIGHT: things have happened out there!!!

The EPB is LR's "Ford Pinto" ....it's cheaper to let us burn risk a rollaway accident or fine for a defective brake than fix the problem 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

As with the diffs on the new Defender. Quote LR to me "To be honest Sir you are in a small minority that use the vehicles to the extent that faults show up, whilst we are happy to keep repairing your vehicle under warranty we have no intention of re-calling all the vehicles we have sold" bla bla b la bla In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
