burred

Getting ready to sell up so ive been pottering around with the Disco got under it last night and noticed the inner of the N/S/F wheel has been burred by the lower bolt of the lower arm??? if that makes sense?, had a lovely bit of alloy swarf on it Shocked Censored

Ive looked in the Haynes Manual but it doesn't show a pic of the way the bolt should be.

Could anyone take a pic of their lower arms please looking from the front of the vehicle so I can check the orientation.

Saw the pic that Robbie posted recently but couldn't see the bit in question Thumbs Up

This is my D3 on 19" rims if it is of any help

The first is on full right lock and the second is in the straight ahead position.

My in we wheel has been budded by the bolt in your top pic. Can't for the life of me
See how it would touch it. It's just been on a hunter jig.

It looks like Disco Mikey has answered your question but I cannot understand why yours fouls the wheel when mine has loads of clearance even if it is the wrong way round, interestingly I have just been out to check and the right hand side is the same way round. I can only assume that some specific combination of full lock and maximum compression or extension of the suspension travel brings the two into contact.

Thanks for the information, looking at the corrosion it looks like it has been that way round for a while but I am doing the front discs, pads and flexible pipes in the next day or two so I will turn them round while I have the car up in the air.

Thanks Disco_Mikey & MGcarr

Back to the garage!!

Is it just a case of taking the bolt out and re-inserting the correct way?
