BUTTERFLY VALVE REMOVAL

Just read on another thread about removing the butterfly valves when blanking off the EGRs. Has anyone got any pics of this procedure and where are they located? Having already blanked my EGRs but not removed any butterfly valves im feeling somewhat concerned, although not noticed any difference in performance.

Not a problem. There's only really one way to do the job correctly, and thats the way I did it. You can get blanking plates only, but thats half a job IMHO.

As you can see, if you leave the induction Stubs in place it causes a huge obstacle behind the removed butterfly valve, so really you need the Full Kit from BAS to reap the benefits.

I am still acheiving with a BAS remap, Expo Roof Rack, MTR's till last weekend, very close to 30mpg

Or just cut the induction stubs off flat where they enter, file smooth, they are then out of the air flow and cannot cause a restriction.
