Cabin Pre Heater

I am aware that my car has a pre cabin heater that I can access the time mode through the left control stick.
I can programme in the time and for how long I wish it to run for, but it does not come on.
I believe it is set to work on the Range Rover sport, but Discos may require software.
Delears and Load Lanes responce is they will deactivate the display when it goes in for it's first service.
Don't want that. I want it to work!
Any ideas please!!!

I suggest you search for Webasto in all topics, its a very much visited topic.

The upshot is you are right, it does not work. There is a trick to make it work, but it can cause problems. The feature is there but was not intended to be implemented until a future facelift. It is not de-bugged and un tested.

New 06 cars do not have the menu you refer too, and yes if you have the latest version of the instrument pack software it will remove it.

Actually mine has just been and had a SW upgrade along side some niggle srting and the menu options are still there... told WDS version 13 used with latest patches.

Heater now seems to be far better (only tested on a 10 min trip so will have to see) with warm air front vents as well as to feet.

Engine 1st to 2nd seems far less violent too... again need to test around London Weds, Thurs, Fri to be sure of the fix - apparently newer engine mapping.

Well we will see eh Wink
