Camping Question

If I use the back of the disco as a camper van and sleep in it with the keys in my pocket will I flatten the battery as it will be waiting for me to press the starter button. Can I lck the doors from the inside to prevent anyone jumping in and pressing the start button and driving off with me in the back. Will I be better off in a tent a few rads away?

You will be fine, I sleep in mine quite often at rally's etc, I just lock the doors by pushing the lock button on the drivers door because if you use the remote you will switch the alarm on. Thumbs Up

Or push the lock button on the remote twice, which disables the ultrasonics

Not on a D4 it doesn't, on a D4 a double press of the remote button double locks the car and sets the full alarm. A single press locks the vehicle and sets the perimeter alarm so if you are sleeping in the car you can either lock it by pressing the lock button on the drivers door or a single press of the remote. I think I always press the button on the drivers door as force of habit as on one of my previous cars you had to do it that way.
 Cheers Ian

Thumbs Up yep, other way round on D4 - the wrong way round in my opinion. just like having keyless start.... much prefer a proper key - it comes in handy for all sorts of other stuff

Having to press it twice to lock it properly is madness. Change for the sake of it. Or a way to wear the key out faster, more spares sold....
