When we went on holiday a couple of weeks ago, before the weather warmed up, the DAB reception was great, no problems at all. It was then parked up for 2 weeks and since getting back in it has been dire, having to use auto tune and even then it won't always tune into a station that is on the the channel list and when it does it is intermitent.
Is it something to do with the weather that others have noticed or is it another thing for the dealer to investigate at service shortly.
The high pressure system that is parked over the UK is having a massive effect on a load of RF systems. DAB is not great at the best of times and the weather can take it from ok to non-existant.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Hi all.
Sorry for the delaying in updating you all, but there have been some technical issues with my deal / LR!
Twice the car has been in for replacement touchscreen units and LR have delivered the wrong one. Massive waste of my time. There are no new touchscreens available, apparently. So, no news as yet. (I'll be pretty unimpressed if I get a recondition unit and will reject it, if that's what it turns out to be!)
Take one off the production line and fix the issue with a current customer first!
Sounds like Laim@LR knows there is an issue, which my contact at LR has confirmed.
It's a waiting game - for the right new part to arrive!

I think the MY 12 screen is different from the MY 13 (and MY 11) Ask them to replace whole system with MY13? Its better anyway.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I'm going to book mine in too, just for a look.
I maintain its not the touchscreen that is the problem....when the audio is off and you switch it on by pressing the "audio off" on the touchscreen, the radio comes on almost instantly....that suggests to me the issue is elsewhere in the system "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Dave/Euan,
I'd be interested to hear how you get on and will book mine in if you get a fix.
Thanks

New touchscreen has arrived at my dealer. Let's hope it's the right one this time.
I'll report back when complete.
I have a video of entering the Queen's post code on the current display. Lame. Let's see if there's any change with the 'new' one!

That's mine in for looking at now along with first service. Dealers have heard nothing of it.
Liam if you are reading this and haven't done so already, could you give me a call.Joined the BMWX5 45e group

I have an Evoque as a courtesy car and tried a couple of experiments now I have used it on my daily commute.
It is a 6 speed box but there is no sign of the excessive hesitation my D4 has, a previous RRS with 8 speed box, whilst it wasn't as bad it was still worse than the Rvique.
And as for inputting post codes into the sat nav, it really is night and day, at most there is a one second delay between digits whilst in mine it could be two or three, how can it be so different.
On the Evoque itself, I like the seats and it has a few good different design bits but boy does it feel claustraphobic the A frame is just sooooooo close, it also sits on 20 inch wheels which give a lot of road noise and are very harsh compared to my 19s and even more so against my D3 18s!
I will update any improvements later ......... hopefullyJoined the BMWX5 45e group

Dave, I will await news with interest.
Must say it's a bit of a scunner (as we say in Glesga) that the dealer knew nothing of it.....if I were a betting man, my money would be on the dealer seeking guidance from LR and getting back to you but I suspect you'll get your D4 back with nothing done.
I would love to be wrong !

Hi Dave
I just took a look at the Customer Relations thread and Liam is way until tomorrow. His message says that if your query is urgent you should call 08705000500. Maybe worth a call given that your car is at the dealer as we speak......
Sorry for poking my nose in !
