@dangerdave - you're right. LR took my car apart and have put it back together wrong. Heating dials don't turn and one of them broken. Side mouldings not snug anymore. Am going to complain to LR - as the car has been in 4 times to have the satnav fixed - I'm fed up.
Now. I do have videos of before and after having my new screen installed. Not sure I notice much difference in the responsiveness and the system is still a 2012 model - no POIs, etc. I will sort out and post videos online ASAP.
Old software: 3309_110706
New software: 3374_120830
Old hardware: 0x0000104A
New hardware: 0x0000104C
Incidentally, a 2013 Freelander I was lent by Marshalls of Cambridge (with the POI software) was also on the same new hardware but had newer software 3785_121117.
So, it may be that a software update is possible on the same hardware. You've just got to get LR to hand over the software to let it be done!
