Can cracked rim be repaired/
Hi,
slid sideways into a kerb tonight and cracked my rim. Tyre still sealed but about 6 inches of rim lip hanging off (non structural metal). i have a full sized spare, so I was hoping I could get the broken rim repaired and retire it to being the spare> Has anyone had alloys welded and repaired? can anyone reccommend a company in Ireland or UK?
You can probably pick up a replacement wheel cheaper than the hassle/cost of getting a repair done.The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

the answer is yes, but as jmc says the price of a wheel off ebay would probably be cheaper.Welcome to the Global Warming Corner.

Thanks. Just looked on Ebay. it would be cheaper to buy second hand. There was one avallable 3 days ago. Not sur e if it is sold.

Thank for offer Character. didn't consider that option until now. I have PM'd Ken, My Preference is to have a matching spare, so will exhaust that option first, but wouldn't rule out your offer.
