The Tesco warranty is run by the same holding company as the LR warranty as you proved with your old paperwork.
If they have LR approved warranty (which all have) then they have an account with Tesco warrantyTLO has left the building.......

Tell the dealer that when they call the Tesco Warranty number that they will be dealing with exactly the same individuals at the end of the phone that they deal with when processing a warranty claim under Land Rover Extended Warranty. Sounds as if they haven't dealt with a Tesco Warranty claim before. If necessary, explain the problem to Tesco Warranty.

Having been to Trinity Land Rover (Hinkley) myself for warranty work,(my warranty being with Ford) the first thing they say is they only deal with Landrover Warranty, and any third party has to be paid buy the customer and claimed back. I don't think its a case of it's not the same holding company or they can't deal with Tesco direct, it's just a case of they don't want to stray away from the norm.
It doesn't normally creat a problem as the warranty company have to authorise the work before it is carried out anyway, so you'll get your money back.

Its just a bit annoying I bought the warranty to avoid big bills hitting me, so me paying up front defeats the object. The warranty people will need to send an assesor first so I suppose there is no chance of my claim being rejected. I will ring Tescos in the morning and see what they say, and see if they can recommend some one local. Thanks for the help.

Just to finalise this question, Stratsone agreed to do the work at Nottingham and invoice Tesco, car went in on Monday morning to have seal replaced. On removing the seal as per LR instructions the case of the transfer box fractured, after some going back and forth to Tesco on my behalf an new transfer box is now on order and should be finished today. Thumbs up to Tesco warranty on this one and Stratsone for getting a replacement box agreed.
