I have a 15MY on order with timed climate (no remote) and am now thinking the remote is the way forward. Is this the same deal; receiver, antenna, remote fob and ccf to do a DIY upgrade?
Any ideas on the price of the bits as it might not be too late to change my order to the remote factory option if the bits cost as much (plus I get a LR chappy to do the hard work of connecting a couple of plugs)?Phil

There are two different things with the FBH. If fitted factory wise, you will have a different cooling system. If you order without the ParkingHeater, it will work as well, if you just change the ccf file.
Cheapest version is not ordering and simply activate it afterwards with a tool (IID, Nanocom).
For both versions you can later put in the remote and antenna. It's simple to do, dealer told me around 10 minutes...
Here in Germany a new remote is around £90.-.
I didn't order it and will put in all the necessary things afterwards, in Germany afterwards safes you 50%. Cheers Patrick from Munich

If you dont have timed climate it was about £1100 as an option ( you got it on the touch screen and remote for that )
HSE comes with timed climate on the screen not the remote
@£320 from the factory as an option is good as the parts list price are nearly that .
But yes you can retrofit the remote part .G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

So to confirm.
We have an XXV complete with the manual Timed Climate function, given that the car was bought from stock there was no way of specifying the remote at £320 from the factory.
We would like the remote function.
From where can I source the remote and have the function enabled ?
