Can I Remove Logic 7 System

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help - I’ve done a fair bit of searching with no definitive answer.
The stereo in my 2009 discovery 3 HSE (logic 7) is not working, I’m pretty sure the amp is gone too. I would like to switch to a new system and would like to know if there will be any issue with removing these parts and replacing with aftermarket ones?
I’ve got plans to fit a monitor or tablet where the sat nav screen was, and a double din unit where the stereo was so not mind that I won’t get the information screen.
Is there anything important that I will lose? The car will still run and work properly won’t it? It’s just the “infotainment” system and the clock on the dashboard I will lose from what I can work out…
Car has been running fine since I got it, apart from the stereo - and that hasn’t been in the car for a while, as I pulled it out to see about getting it fixed/replaced.
Any advice before I start cutting wire would be most appreciated!
Thanks, Richard.

Thank you!

Hopefully someone can help, I’m planning on installing it this weekend as I have the car in bits due to a leak - never known such a palaver to get a carpet out! 😂

If you have Bluetooth that will stop.

The settings via the dash (locking, mirror dipping) won’t be able to be changed. As the radio steering wheel buttons won’t work <> +-Mode.
Some ppl fit the rear of the radio in the glovebox to keep them working

Thank you, I will look at doing that - I think I saw something about how the head unit can be made much smaller somewhere, will have to get googling!
