Take the 30k, stick it in RBS shares, wait until they hit £1.50 then go out and buy an Aston DBS with a V8 vantage for trackdays....
may have to wait 6-12months, but only using my original 30k

Yeah
but given RBS performance of late, they could go from being worth £30k to £1.50 for the lot, which will just about get you a 2nd hand corgi DBS I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Sorry, but if you guys are fantasising about othe cars .... you must be in the wrong motor !
As a self test, when in a car park, i'll look around to see what else is there. in all occassions, i'd rather have MY d3.I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Ron
Obviosuly the D3 would be first choice
I assumed this was for a second car, and i chose the one i did for two reasons, firstly for those rare summer days when you want the roof down (there is no D3 convertible), and secondly, when the urge takes you to hit some twisty roads and do some proper driving including the sort of handling the D3 can only dream of.
That was my rationale anyway I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

My choices were based on if running costs didn't apply, if I didn't need the vehicle for any other reason (eg. boot space and off-roading etc.) and if I could stick some roof rails and a cycle carrier on top of it 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

Continuing to think about the second car I would love to own.
It would have to be one of these

I've driven one, and it is a dual function car, getting both the grin and sphincter muscles working simultaneously - and that's before hitting the (very) loud peddle.
And as for the noise.

£30K is enough for a TDV8 FFRR - just not quite new enough - but a fully specced up FFRR would probably be first on my list, even though it is not as practical as the D3, it just has that somethingSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

I reckon 30 grand would just about cover one years insurance for you on that I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
