Car polish recommendations
My current bottle of Autoglym is starting to run out and I'm trying to get hold of something better to keep my D3 looking the way it should...at the moment, it has lots of micro-scratches and swirl-marks from the dealer (who were too lazy to wash it by hand and put it through a rotary car wash several thousand times in the 8 months they had the car ).
What I really need is a decent scratch remover, a polish and a wax that work well together and give top-notch results...
I've seen the posts talking about the Meguiars 3-step system and Last Touch but am finding it impossible to get here in Spain. The stuff in the local 'Halfords' style shops is crap...
I realise that this post risks bringing BLFarrar out of semi-retirement, but he's been behaving lately and does seem to have a bit of experience in these things
Any pointers or recomendations from the above two brands (or whatever else you can find on the above website) will be gratefully received!!

Hi Paul, If you find something on a UK site e-bay or whatever (or Halfords etc) , I'd be happy to have it delivered to my house & bring it over next time. I'm here til 24th and then should be back first or second week of September.
Just let me know.
I've used Mothers detailing spray when claybar-ing my last car before selling it.
If you want to do a proper job, it's definately worth using a clay bar to get rid of the impurities & ingrained road dirt before doing the abrasive polish & top wax. (IMHO although someone is bound to disagree )
Takes a while, but you can REALLY feel a difference before & after.
Can't say much for their other products as I haven't used them, other than they get good write ups.
Hi PaulP - got that - thanks for the notoriety...not in retirement...just selective to what I reply to...things I want to comment on or add to the discussion...
actually..it wasnt the polish debacle I got sent to Somalia for it was Imperial / Metric...I think.
However when agreeing with some other poor sucker who in his humble (non-expert) opinion that Meguairs was OK/good/worked for him the fire was nearly rekindled..
It would appear car polish, measurement units plus other unlisted subjects are the province of specific persons, whose extertise hasnt to be challenged (even when they havent use the system or by thier own admission even used the product. Which qualifies the efficiacy of the replies
However its all a bit of fun....& makes life a bit more interesting
However POLISH....had a couple of black vehicles & these tend to show swirl marks - the step one of the Meguiars offerings has worked ok on these for me - whatever it does it doesnt seem to remove the clear laqueur - but does remove the swirls. If you go to the Meguairs website they can ship or suggest someone who could.
Good Luck !BREXIT - done properly.

Well, I was sick of the swirls, scratches etc on my wifes Black Brabus, so made some enquiries, and was recommended this site:-
Managed to get it cleaned at the weekend, using my machine polisher - and WOW - mirror finish, and no marks whatsoever. Also, it has now rained and the sealant is working very well, as it is still nice and shiny
Will be doing the Disco when the weather picks up and I have a day free
