As I understand it, it goes something like this, not sure if 100 percent correct.

2004 to March 2006 d3 360 gbp a year
2006 to 2012/13 630 gbp a year
D4 2012/13 to last of line 360 gbp

every car should be the same price to tax . looking at used cars to buy the tax is a minfield two identical cars different rates . it was so simple before they used tax to control what you buy .

But that's precisely the point - they need to apply some kind of incentive for people to think about their choice of vehicle. This isn't exactly a new thing, you've had 21 years to get used to it Whistle
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

But that’s the point. The incentive is set up to keep EU3 diesels on the road and scrap EU4s, which is the wrong way round to address NOx pollution.

It’s irrelevant anyway. It’d take more than £300 a year to convince me to swap my nice reliable 2.7 for a 3.0 Wink

Corrosion and Crankshafts will deal with the earlier cars soon enough. Whistle

Just to add the confusion, my 2011 D4 3.0SDV6 is only £290 a year, because it's a commercial.

How can not having rear seats make it 'cleaner'?
