Cat removal guide

Hi Guys finally got my disco 3 about a week ago which I'm very happy with. Few mod I'm going to do with her, so I have a de-cat pipe ordered and was wondering there's any guide on here on ow to do it?

Also what size nuts and studs in case they break and I need to replace them. (part number would be great)

Thanks

Thierry

Is there any chance we could persuade you to keep the cat - it is one of the few genuinely effective real-world emissions systems?

No failure for Cat out here in Ireland. I've removed cats on all my previous defender and no problem only test for smoke I think

I love my decat. I don't care how un-PC it is

Waiting to see what comes of the new MOT regs though...

Well, if you get caught here, they grab you by the boll...s with tax evasion as well, and that hurts a lot...

At lest that is how the plod get a grip on those 21 year olds racing their hard earned tuned up audi, beemerz, mercs and even Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

What bugs me are the "reputable" tuning companies that sell patches to make the ECIU believe that a cat is not fitted, or the actual straight through exhaust, or even fake cats! There is a weak disclaimer saying that they are for use for race/track only, or non EU cars, but thats a recent addition as I took a certain tuner to task regarding type approval and they then added the disclaimer.

We all know they sell to anyone with the money!

Cars are suppose to breath a lot easier without CAT.
