I use CQuartz UK, just make sure you can keep the car dry whilst applying, buffing off takes some effort.

And how well does it work? deeper shine for longer? protection against stone chips better?

No, no coating will protect against stone chips. But will protect it from bird and sap etc, It takes a good part of the day to do a car fully. And does appear to put a deeper gloss onto the paint work.
Every couple of months after washing just apply some reload to bring back the hydrophobic property.
I’ve not used it on the disco, so not sure how long that’ll take, probably need the 50ml size, I do our other cars with it when they are new and 30ml is plenty for a saloon.

seems to last longer and be tougher than AutoGlym HGP and waxing, it seems?
Can you wax over it to give more protection? I know you need to o it either to new car to to detail the paintwork very well to start with - that will be the major issue, I think!!

Yep, I put wax on mine every now and then, I use AG hd wax normally. And yes you need to make sure the car is really clean first. Clay and polish.

I asked, because you might have been talking about an industrial ceramic coating for wear resistance.
As said above, best done in a dry building, and if it goes on wrong, the only way to get it off again is by machine polishing.Richard

Just ordered two 30ml should be enough for disco and SWMBO Mini only thing not got is a dry building. Funny found two 30ml less than than a 50ml another set myself up for full days or two work clay bar first.

I haven't done it DIY but have had it done to my cars pre delivery. Not at the dealers but a car detail firm, I had the current disco transferred to the firm pre delivery without the dealers touching the paint, they stripped the delivery crud off it, prepared the body and applied the ceramic coat. Looked spectacular on delivery and for the first year looked like new again with pretty much a quick hose down. After a year or so it does wear off but if there DIY versions that you can keep applying would definitely recommend I may try it my self hadn't realised it was available MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Just picked my 2011 D4 up from polishing and ceramic coating with DropOff. Supposed to last for 5 years with an annual "special wash" and control. Time will tell if it was a good idea...
