Hello folks,
Apologies if this is in the wrong section, new on the forum.
I was looking for some advice. I have small rust patches on the chassis of my D3 07, due to using it for work (civil engineering - a lot of off roading!) and not taking the time to clean it correctly After some neglect of the jeep, i now have the time to put some effort into turning my D3 from a work horse to my pristine D3, (with future modifiations). I was wondering has anybody tried to paint the chassis (or the bits that can be seen!) and if so what paint did they use. I see waxoyl do both a spray and tin can paint. Anybody tried this and if so what did you use?
Many thanks for the replies.

I use a foam sanding block to clean the rust then touch it up with krylon semigloss spray can paint. Cant hardly tell where the rust parts were.

Thanks trynian,
Im not very good at the spring cleaning, must do better.
Is there any parts of the disco that should be covered up in your experience prior to doing this? Compressor etc?
Disco out of warrenty, must check though what warrenty if any comes with paint.
Thanks for the advice

Not really sure but as a rule I just cover things to keep the paint where I want it. Since I live near the ocean things rust fast around here so I am always checking for it.
