Needs a charger but they are usually £20 or less.
Just ordered me one as i have a spare battery and high power charger already.
For the MSV2 owners it lacks a serial port but a USB-SERIAL adapter should do the job FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
Test piloted a new D4 XS SDV6.. Gone and being forgotten i hope!!

Thats a VERY good price for a T61 - nice machine.
Used to have one but currently using the X201D4 HSE - Aintree Green
D4 Orkney my13 - gone
Stornaway D4. Gone, Didn't like it at all
D3 silver manual. Loved my first LR
Well, that's what the client gives me for secure-side stuff. BYOD hasn't quite got to the point where I can use my kit for anything other than email , which makes my PI broker happy
One T61 on it's way to NoDo$h towers so Little Miss Do$h can give me my laptop back!

Yes I saw that and also had a look at his other items, but I am looking at maybe something a bit better specced, although the specs for computers does baffle me somewhat.
It just sounds too cheap for what I am looking for, I was looking more towards the £500-£600 type machines if you look at PC world.Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Got a couple of t410 (i5, 4gb, 320gb hdd (or any size you want) etc) c. £350 or some up i5s (don't recall the model) similar money.
We put an SSD hard drive in a t61 the other day, boots to google in c. 30 seconds from cold!
What spec do you need? (CPU or responsiveness?)

Larger screens (over 14) are a little rare on our sources but we have a link to a Dell partner who would get them.
one option might be a (14") T410 with SSD for boot/docs and then a spinning HDD in the media bay (ie no DVD). If you need a DVD, £30 from maplins sort that, while you get the best of both worlds Fast SSD and large HDD in an i5 Laptop.
