How to check engine oil level on poverty spec Disco 4?!
Hi all,
Have got a 2010 Disco 4 GS and I wanted to check the engine oil level.
I know it's supposed to be found on the menu on the dash, but for the life of me I can't find ANY options as to how to check it? I can't believe it's something they only put on the high spec models...?!
Any pointers would be great.

It's in the same place as the HSE Luxury
Service menu on the dash. You can check before starting the car in the morning or after its rested for 10-15 minutes

Ok...
Potential thick question, but is there a procedure for accessing the service menu?
I'm 99% certain I can't see any options for that when I look...

from memory:
ignition on ... don't start
Press OK button - brings up menu in centre of dash
Use radio arrow controls to work down left and you'll see it
Should be detailed in the manual if you have that do

Ah ha!
I think the error I've been making is trying to do it with the engine running!
Will check when get home.

if its a 2010 GS, you may have the 2.7 engine - in which case, its a dipstick.
2.7 from the D3 was used in the early 2010 GS models & Commercials

Yes, you can only see the oil level screen with the engine off. If its been running you have to wait about 15 minutes or you will just get a message saying information not available (or something like that)Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector
