Checking the dipstick...

Being of a somewhat shorter stature than average I was a bit shocked to find the dipstick a little out of my reach yesterday Embarassed

Anyone else suffer from this? Confused

Getting to the dipstick is only half the problem. Reading the oil level from it accurately - well lets just say the design doesn't help do that at all !

I agree with the comment re: trying to read the dipstick - rubbish design.

On the subject of drivers' statures, being tall enough to reach the dipstick has its downside. The rear view mirror is set quite low, so even with the seat adjusted to the lowest position my forward field of view is obscured. I have to adopt an ungainly stoop to see around left hand corners. I suspect that Ford PAG only employ short test drivers Wink because this particular problem is even worse on my Jaguar X type company car. I nearly t-boned a car approaching from the left as I was pulling out of a 'T' junction because of the poor positioning of the mirror in the Jag. Maybe this explains the crash involving a D3 and a Mondeo, which was discussed in a recent thread. Shocked
