Chim chimeny, Chim chimeny, chim chim chi-roo

Just sat through another re-run of Mary Poppins with the little 'un, and it just occured to me that this offers the final word on the raging D5 debate....
Many D4ers cant bring themselves to the D5 (or anything else) simply because the D4 is for them (and perhaps objectively?) "practically perfect in every way" for them/their needs/their lifestyle, and nothing else measures up.
Now to all the D5 owners, if the D5 is practically pergect in every way for you and your needs, then happy days and congratulations! I actually envy you for being able to buy a new car that gave you that same PPIEW feeling i absolutely had when I orderd my D4.

So its really as simple as that. And keeping it simple ought to defuse alot of the passive-aggression in many comments. The D4 diehards who are accused of trashing the D5 - genuinely pointing out why the D5 (or any other car) is not PPIEW for you is perfectly legitimate on a D4 forum. And for the D5 owners who leap to its defence obviously irked but claiming not to be, you should just be cool, even smug, that the D5 works well for you.

So, let's all get along and go fly a kite!

No comparing the back of the D5 with this then? Whistle Whistle

I'm too young for Mary Poppins, but of the CCBB generation. Thumbs Up

Surely chitty bang bang is of the same era?

And surely all LR owners must at some point have heard bang bang from the mechanicals and thought "oh chit.."

Yes he designed the D1 just before he died in 1986. Rolling with laughter

Corbyn is the new child catcher. Luring the young voters in with promises of free stuff Laughing

You’re right though for me the D3 was PPIEW, the D4 has some good improvements but lost a bit of practicality.

Good thing i didnt start comparing the D3/D4 to the original Mary Poppins and the D5 to the forthcoming new one. If the D5 was anywhere near as gorgeous as Emily Blunt, JLR would br enjoying a real sales bonanza (as opposed to thr marketing sales bonanza they keep spinning)!
