Clicking when CD's playing

I have only had my car (05 SE spec) for a month and a half, but I have noticed that when CD's are playing, there's a clicking sound every second or so. Turning the volume up causes the volume of the click to rise too. The CD's don't appear to have the problem when being played on other devices, and it's not there on the radio.

Thanks in anticipation for any ideas.
