Clicking sound from one of the rear headphone sockets

Hello all,

Apologies if this has been previously discussed, but I couldn't find anything via a search.

I have a small problem with only one of the rear headphone sockets in my car. The offside 2nd row seat socket generates a short click sound about once every second. This doesn't seem to be affected at all by the volume of the source, but for quiet passages of music or radio etc it can become quite distracting. I've tried different headphones but the problem still exists.

I'm assuming some kind of interference but I'm not sure where to look. The vehicle is still under warranty so I could raise it with the local dealer, but I wondered if this was common or easily fixed?

Cheers
Steve

I would pop it out ( just prise it gently with something wont wont damage the trim) and swap it for the other side .

Then you can see if its the wiring to that particular one or the unit itself .

Welcome to the site by the way Thumbs Up

Thanks wiggs, thats a great idea, I'll give that a try later.

Cheers for the welcome as well, I've been lurking for while (I've had my D3 for only a few weeks but have found this site to be more useful than any of the LR handbooks).
