Sounds like you've given up. So what will you buy with the vastly reduced amount of money you receive for your traded-in D3? Probably a large estate. It will occupy a similar amount of road. It will have a similar engine capacity and fuel type. It may even have four-wheel-drive. And it sure as sh!t will produce as much CO2.

Don't give in to this crap. None of you. This is a subversive agenda put out by a load of communist do-gooders who want us all to go back to the dark ages.

Oh...don't get me wrong nobby...just because I can't be bothered to argue the toss doesn't mean I'm giving up the motor ...

...It means I'll just prefer to smile at the 'dogooders' with my best interbred banjo playing geek impression and laugh with a 'Beavis & Butthead' sniggering noise Very Happy .

Much more satisfactory than trying to explain a counter argument to these Censored Wink

OK, given that we all seem to know better than the majority of the great unwashed, uninformed and unable-to-foot-the-bill lot, what can we do about it???

Make no mistake - If you can afford to buy a D3, then no amount of posturing or arguing is going to gain any sympathy from those who will not care if you have to come down to a prius. Governmental a$$wipes will continue to be carted about in FFRRs because 'national security' depends upon it.

We either put-up or shut-up, because that's what it amounts to at the end of the day. I'm voting VA for PM at the next election. Shocked

Actually, I'm voting for independence through the SNP...... Exclamation When they take over the country, they are going to be so frightened at the prospect of loosing all the business brains that they should positively encourage entrepreneurial 'non-scroungers' to stay here...... If you can afford a D3, they will end-up giving us free road tax to prevent us from leaving Laughing

Randalls, wish I had a garage that size!!! Just waiting on Superman to use is a hand grenade, I'll leave the target to him!

PS unfortunately the blue band shows its a "drill" weapon so if it does not land on you, you should be OK. Assuming the blue & yellow bands significance has not changed???

Interestingly the chief economy journo for the Times has written a similar argument to mine in today's paper i.e. why should we give in to these Luddites who would have us go to work by ox and holiday in the dung marshes of (insert least favourite place here). Nice to see some balance in the press, for a change. Then again, Murdoch's probably got a fleet of RRs...
