Clutch pedal on the floor.

The title says it all. Pushed the clutch pedal and it went straight to the floor and left me in third gear. I opened the bonnet to look at the master cylinder but can't find it! There's no mention of it in the owners manual either.
Big Cry
Looks like a big bill on the horizon.

The clutch master cylinder is by the clutch pedal and is fed fluid from a compartment in the brake master cylinder reservoir, look for leaks at the master cyl or pipework, also the slave cylinder could be leaking (inside the clutch housing, that will be expensive to sort Shocked )..

Thanks for the reply, I will go and have a look at it tomorrow when its light.
Getting it to a garage with no clutch is going to be fun.(Not).
Might just drag it down the road and phone the AA!

As above, also

Check you have fluid in the brake reservoir as the clutch is fed from there. You might have a brake problem Shocked

if you put your wheels in full left lock and look from the drivers wheel arch you will be able to see where the slave cylinder goes through the bell housing. i have had the pipe come apart from there because of a weak clip holding them together. i would check that that hasnt happened first. new clip easy fix

Picked up the Disco this morning and I'm now £700 poorer.
The mechanic showed me the old clutch, it had burst and jammed on." Never seen that happen before mate!"
So I now have a new clutch and slave cylinder but did not need a new flywheel, thank goodness.

Happy to be mobile again.
