This is how I did mine. Basically I got the engine warm and then removed the link hose across the front of the engine. Run the old out into old containers and flush the system until the water running out was clear. Then out new mixture into the reservoir until your clean water changes to your new mixture. Turn it all off and button it back up and run and check levels and you’re done.05 D3 S - Gone but never forgotten

Coolant Flush not now
So I went ahead and just tuck new thermstat in her, without a flush.
When I pulled off the thermo housing the coolant looked very clean. As in previous owner may have done right. So I checked the fluid with a hydro meter, or whatever they are called, coolant tester and things looked great. (-30 to -40 ish) so I'm good I guess. Ir also felt like it was very new.
So now I have the thermo in and have air bleed and did some driving after knowing things were right, so I am going with it for my trip to WVA, about 7 hours drive.
Left to do now, change diff fluids, and transfer box, then hit the road. Already did Engine oil and transmission, although once I get a second pair of ramps I will recheck the tranny level. I have had some hard shifts going from reverse to drive when the vehicle is drifting slightly backwards and then jumps into drive/forward.
Still remaining is the P0116 and P0186 faults. I had hoped these would go away with the thermo change. She is resting to cool it down so I can restart after getting it up to OP temp and running. It's 98 F now so it will be tomorrow before I can start cool.2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic
