Engine from Range Rover to d4?

Anyone know if a 2015 Range Rover 3.0 engine will fit into a 2011 Landrover discovery 4 if does what needs changing
Is it a complete strip to block etc then bolt everything off discovery 4 engine to new engine?

The RR has not had a straight 6 for many years. They are both V6’s, although the RR’s is probably a single turbo, with the D4 likely to be twin. I can’t answer the original question though Sad

wonder if that's why JLR are suddenly, generously, halving the cost of a new D4 engine ? how else would you clear a warehouse of engines you're not using anymore ?

Isn't the range rover a 300bhp unit. I thought it was very similar to the sdv6 with a different tune.
