2016 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 Landmark LE Auto Waitomo Grey

Corrosion Spotted

Just dotted this bubbling and a little corrosion on the corner of the rear offside window.

The vehicle is coming up to 6 years old.

I don’t suppose that is covered under any sort of LR corrosion warranty is it?

ISTR LR’s warranty is a “perforation warranty” with lots and lots of loop holes. It’s good old rust, all part of the heritage.

I couldn’t get JLR to pay for rust on a car that was 1 month over the three year warranty, apparently the gutter rails on an X Type are “trim” and not part of the body work… so when asked how they would be removed the response was “you can’t as they are welded to the body!” ???

Good luck… if you’re on very good terms with your local dealer they “might” make a contribution..

I agree. Don't waste your breath or ink. Nobody will ever successfully claim.....

got the exact same on mine it seems to be caused by a stone chip on mine,looks the same colour as mine too (corris grey) anyway i had a touchup pen from my daytona grey rs4 so just dobbed a bit on it a few years ago and forgot about it lol until i just read your post
