Cruise Control
Well I got my Top Tailgate sorted out today. It was a loose catch
However, on the way home when I switched on the Cruise Control..........no joy????
It will not switch on. On getting the car back I did note that the steering wheel etc had been moved during road test to check gear changes (ok apparently)
I am guessing that there may be a loose wire?
I cant believe i will need to phone the garage tomorrow and book it in again
Allan,
It may well be a loose wire, but it may indicate the need to replace the 'clock springs' in the steering wheel that transmit the signal from switch to main unit. Does the cruise control work after 'reboot'?Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
I've lost cruise a number of times. Usually needs an overnight reboot (rather than a simple restart) to reset it. Are you waiting for the 'bong' before starting the engine???

Thanks for the replys.
Whats the bong?
I sometimes hear a chime when I start the car but I have assumed thats the seat belt warning?
It was on the way home I noticed, so I wont be restarting until tomorrow. I will update then.
By the way I am only averaging 19mpg my home to work journay is about 5 miles each way. 3 miles dual carrigeway 2 miles town/Qs etc.
Is this normal? It has had the 4 hr Enhansement done.
Cheers
Allan.

My cruise needed the switch replaced. Fine since then.

As with all computers, you have to allow it to 'boot-up' properly. Do NOT start the engine until you have heard the 'bong'. It is simply a confirmation that all the start-up sequences have run correctly.
RTFM

Could be better
The D3, (in common with most cars), does not make for a fuel efficient vehicle for doing short / cold runs.
Get out for a Sunday drive up Deeside, down Glenshee, then back to the Granite city on the A90 for a true indication of consumption across a range of road types.
