Received my CTEK 7000 today. Well pleased with it. Very simple to use.
Thanks for all the guidance. I think I'll try using the charger connection lead - the one that permanently attaches to the battery terminals and presents a socket for the charger lead to connect with. As I keep the Disco in a garage this should not be inconvenient.

I bought the DEFA battery charging system, http://wup.defa.com/en/wup_products_batterychargers.html and am very happy with that. You install a socket in the grille or wherever you feel like, and connects it with ac cable to the wall when parked. You can also combine with warm up system instead of using the webasto, as you can expand with an indipendent heater for the engine and also for the interior.
I use only the batterycharger. Its an easy job you can do yourself. Club Traxide and dual Optima- red and yellow
Club broken EPB
Club 4 broken mudflaps
Club BAS EGR blanks
