No Simon ordered mine from Amazon best price I could find and don't have to be at home to receive deliveries as they deliver to my local Co-op.Displaced Yorkshireman.

SDV6 Auto obviously, Loire blue/Ebony, ugly kid glass, RLD wheel protector, private plate and maybe side steps.
Interesting that the 7 has a five year guarantee but the 10 only has two years
Ordered the 10 this morning from Tayna £2 more expensive but quicker delivery than AmazonD4 2010 HSE Santorini Black

I've charged my D4 a few times straight to the battery terminals (was unaware until now that you shouldn't do it) but I've never experienced any problems in doing so.
What actually is supposed to be so bad? Has anyone experienced any problems?

charging stop start battery
I have recently bought a Ctek MXS10 and charged the disco 4 via Martins plug in lead to the towing socket, which worked a treat,
My question is that my new disco 2015model year has a small battery situated by the brake fluid reservoir. I assume this is for the stop start system.
Do I need to charge this separately or is it all done automatically by the BMS whilst charging via the towing socket?
Anyone have the knowledge to assist?

Charge via the vehicle electrics or tow socket and the car will manage the rest.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Thanks Robbie.

I am going to get a Ctek charger (probably and MX7 or 10) for my MY2015 D4 as I seem to be having the battery warning coming on at regular intervals, probably because it's not doing many miles at the moment. The question is how do I connect it to the battery? I want to be able to just lift the bonnet and plug the charger in without the need to remove the battery cover every time so I was looking at something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/CTEK-CTE-56382-Com...T1YCTNBN0Z
Would that work for what I need to do?
That's what I use with my MX7

The car only gets confused when you charge directly to the battery posts.

Im about to pull the trigger on a purchase of a ctek too. In discussion with a LR workshop manager, he suggested never to charge via the towing points as you risk serious damage. Now I know many on here already do this, and without issue.
I too was planning to get the towing electric harness and go that route. But, is there any potential issue with the towing electric method?

He didn't give any specifics, just mentioned there is a risk to modules in the electrical circuit since the towing electrics are not designed to have power flowing into the vehicle. I didn't go into details with him as I was really focussed on something else. I don't know if he was just scaremongering or if there is actually some real risk, which maybe no body on here had experienced as yet.
