For those looking for a donor Ctek lead for wiring to a tow electrics plug or a more direct connection Amazon are selling a connector lead for just £3.37 including delivery.

Pretty good price - so just add a plug from ebay and you can have everything you need delivered for less than a tenner.

Recently bought the MXS 25. Works really well. It only comes with a lead with croc-clips on the end ... no connectors in the middle of the lead.

Can you point me at the connector I need to buy so I can plug the MXS 25 into this connector adaptor.

Many thanks.

The MXS25 is an outstanding charger but at 25 amps it can only be attached to the battery as standard via the croc-clips. The Ctec comfort connectors are only rated up to 10 amps so only come with the MXS10 and below.

If you want to use the MXS25 as a convenience charger (and a number on the forum do) then fit it with Anderson plugs (30 amp minimum) and fit the car with a matching pair of plugs on some high amperage leads.

Whoops .... feeling a bit daft now. Have already ordered a tow electrics connector from the shop on here to connect the MXS 25 to my wife's car.

That's not going to work. Banging Head

Still, you have one of the best chargers out there and the 25 amp supply mode can come in handy if you ever do reprogramming or need to recover a more difficult battery.

Perhaps buy a smaller Ctek too such as the 7 amp?

I did get up to the dizzy heights of 3 Cteks but swapped my 25 for some other kit and now my little 3.6 has given up the ghost, leaving me with the 7 amp. Having borrowed a 10 amp Ctek recently I think they are my favourite.

True ... thats a positive way to look at it. Wink

I also have a smaller non-CTEK charger which I could put a CTEK plug onto. I could then make use of the tow bar connector I've already bought.

I could just hard wire the charger to the tow bar connector, but that's a bit Heath-Robinson.

Are the CTEK plugs available to buy ?

No, you have to buy stuff and chop them up, hence using the above to provide the female plug and wire for tow electrics.

To get the other matching male plug you have to chop-up the Ctek extension lead (which is over £12 but gets you a male and female plug and a good length of wire) or the cig socket CTE-56573 (~£8.00) which also has a male plug.

Many thanks Martin. At that price, it's worth buying to get the plug.

... and thanks for the original post Robbie.
