I'm trying to figure out how you would get a stick through the airbag suspension. Mine is fully shrouded by stiff pieces of metal, probably aluminum. You would have puncture this aluminum shield to get to the vulnerable rubber. This is a much better design than the old Range Rover P38 or Classic (or D2) which simply had reinforced, exposed rubber springs.

Can the factory snorkel intake be modified to seal out water? I realize that over the factory wading limit probably exposes electrics that shouldn't get wet, but I'm curious just the same.

Factory snorkel can be modified but you need to replace the porous hose in the intake and seal the rubber elbow.
It is also a good idea to seal the modules behind the main battery.
