wife went shopping came back to car hand it wouldnt start,through up system fault,no radio,no satnav lost all power to windows etc
came out of car reset alarm and went back into car tried engine indicators flashed from left to right then full hazards
radio display came on but no sound or satnav
the car was behaving really bad stuck in park and handbrake stuck
landrover assit couldnt get there for 3 hours so tow truck towed the car into rocar moores at huddersfield.it took mechanic 40 mins to get it out of park and handbrake off to get it on low loader
car has just done over 2000 miles first problem and no doubt not the last
no coutesy car until the morning
well pi**ed off lets hope they sort it for the weekend

sounds like a flat or knackered battery.... handbrake shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to release....

bloke that put it on low loader didnt dare put the handbrake back on when he was towing it,naughty man
i hope its a bad battery only and thats it
will ring them in morn to put latest software in car

Shouldn't need the handbrake with a full lift - if it was lashed down correctly, otherwise RTI damaged cars wouldn't be transportable
Was it parked near a radar or microwave transmitter?

yes m8 under an orange phone mast that does 3g has well
is that the cause ??

It's been known to happen, not usually phone masts but the microwave side - lobe emmisions if the cell is microwave linked rather than hardwired, can play hell with car electronics, usually the remote control is first to suffer but with a Disco3, it's difficult to say, especially with all the network traffic flying round the car

yes guys it was a faulty battery
they recon 2 cell were faulty and these powered the computer
had lastest software put in as well

well that's a new one - only two battery cells power the computers.... they wern't watching Apollo 13 were they?
