Sure am glad that it happened at home and not in the middle of the Plain. But better to of not happened at all though. It could of been a long tow from some of the places we were at yesterday.
Hope it all gets sorted quickly and painlessly. Looking forward to the next time.

Yep, no probs Mark, and it will be softer underground for us. Alot of Dust yesterday, and no alot of mud, although Glynne found enough for us all.
I hope the repairs are painless TBH, was diagnosed by LRA, and typical its the second bank holiday its failed in a row, the last one was the Turbo on New Years Eve.

TBH, never had an issue jet washing around the wheels and wheel arches. Just don't get the nozzle too close.

I actually did'nt jet wash the rears as much as the front. I dont like to get the area around the EPB jet washed. I had it in OFF ROAD height, just to clean out the arches, and all was ok. Drove back from the garage ok afterwards. It was only while I was cleaning the interior, then needed to move closer to the Dyson did I find out the problem exisited.
Maybe it got damp and needs a good drying out, or maybe its a coincidence. If I re-start it tomorrow it may have gone, but the LRA have logged it and worth the trip at the weekend I guess.

Had the same thing today, I hadn't even touched the car let alone cleaned it. Special programs not available, orange warning light on dash and message "Suspension Fault". Tried to turn off and start a few times but nothing. Drove to pick up my parents and when I started it again all was well.
I am at Yeovil tomorrow for the steering pump so will ask them to have a look while it's there although it seems fine now

Ditto, mine were all the orange warnings. Left it alone tomorrow. LRA will call dealer tomorrow and so will I, then try again tomorrow. If all still NOT WELL, then its the BUMPY ride to Ashford on Saturday

If you jet washed the engine bay it could be water in the modules behind the main battery. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Doubt that Caver mate to be honest. Only used the jet wash on the rear of the rad and forward viscous cowling. I took off the engine and two other covers off to clean those. Hardly any water there sir

Well she's gone into dealerships, and the speedo does'nt work either , odometer does'nt work either, rev counter and cruise control does.
Been lent a Puma Defener , very torquey, and takes me back.

That should make it very obviously a broken speed sensor

LRA had briefed them, they got one in for me, the N/S/R one. it did'nt occur to me to check the speedo and odometre. It was stationary and being cleaned when it went wrong (should have left Salisbury all over it), so did'nt look. Charlie did say it was an open circuit and should have cleared when he reset it.
We will see later I guess.
Do like the Defender though, window down, elbow out, and it seems SOLID.

All probs sorted, with an extra problem done I was'nt expecting. They changed my steering wheel as it was just starting to go sticky. Saved me a job
Well done Barretts, and happy to associate my D3 with you at last
