Sound advice me thinks!
I can combine it with getting her to take her foot off the gas sooner as well.
BTW she only gets about 21.5 mpg I can get about 23 mpg when I drive it.
Perhaps I should drive it and not her (but that means letting her drive my 90 ) Bazza M111

At my 15,000 service I was told my pads were 40% worn (no talk of disks) and quoted me £160. I am at 25,000 so will have them done shortly by an independent.
FYI - £238 for 15,000 Main Dealer service and £385 quoted for 30,000 Main Dealer service (excl pads !). Nov '54' TDV6 SE Manual 25,000 miles - Excellent !! Don't buy an Auto until you have driven a Manual !!!!

Thanx for the update Simon, local independant charged me a total of £226 inc VAT for the 12 month/15k.
This included £27 (+ VAT) for the pollen filter.
WRT the discs/pads strongly worded letter to LR customer services sent
Next day a customer survey form drops on the front door mat from LR customer care.
Did I have fun filling it in.......
I await the reply with interest (I will not be holding my breath) Bazza M111

Yikes! I got a reply from LRCustomer Relationship Centre
Very polite letter which stated two things:
1. We do not acknowledge a problem with your discs/brakes
2. We (as LR CRC) are not interested in you as a 'valued customer'
Anyone know any 'usefull' contacts at LR CRC??? Bazza M111

BN- Thanks for the update guys I'll try the area CS but I won't hold my breath. Even if they made a contribution I'd be happy.
Simon - 32K on a set of pads sounds about right to me, just don't let he other half near it Bazza M111
