I think I have mine sorted now (maybe) I sprayed a bit of wd40 into the lock which seemed to do nothing but within a couple of days its soaked in and now appears to be working as it should . now I have had to do the same thing with the bonnet sensor as the alarm has gone off a couple of times today , on investigation it says( intermittent )bonnet open on the dash . easy to fit a new one though

Could you please expand on solution as I have what appears to be the same problem. 3 presses then it locks.

Haven't actually fixed it yet, or seen inside the door! but basically you need to make the internal lock freer and smoother to operate, buy WD40 into the latch mech inside the door
More the lock thing, see where it goes into the latch and spray/oil there.
Work the lock slider
and repeat
