D3 Seat Removal (6&7) to create storage

Has anyone removed the back row of seats to create some additional storage to free up the whole boot space?

Yep, mine are currently residing in the dining room and load deck fitted. Don’t expect to gain much useful space though. Thumbs Up

2nd row, well 2of them

Pic or rear with 3rd row removed, gives an idea of the space you’d gain.

You know I've never actually lifted mine so never seen how small they actually are.

Now I've seen how little space I'd gain I'm wondering if it's worth it. Ta for pictures though, very helpful.

Yep, not a lot of space under there, plus you’d have to sort out a deck and access through it. The only advantage of not having seats and having a deck, apart from not lugging all that weight around, is it’s a lot easier to get the spare down. Thumbs Up

Just checking Del, is there any of your D4 actually on/in the car as opposed to residing somewhere in your house/garage?? Rolling with laughter

The odd bit or two original bits still on the car. Whistle Whistle Only 3rd row seats, middle row seats (both in dining room), original wheels in the garage and a few bits & bobs from fitting the 2nd battery in the man cave/junk room. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up That may change if she needs stripped. Evil or Very Mad
