I now have the software updates and they are great  . I can now see as I walk up my drive to the rear of the disco thanks to the reverse lights on from the key fob.
A big thanks to Geoff. (thanks for the PM Bodsy ) for doing such a good job and to Steve of Advanced Factors for the coffee, LED help, gen chat and for the quick drive of your D3 - as a result I realised how tight my steering was - awesome advice from you both to check the lower UJ on the column btw... and looking up on the forum I found how to access it and spray it with WD40. Now steering is light and nice as it should be, although I will get it replaced under warranty soon anyway.
I will be back there soon for more LEDs, toys and for a gearbox flush - can't wait!

I can't PM yet as I've not done 3 posts but I'm very interested in some of these upgrades. I have a 06 HSE.
Especially the dash clock, gearbox recal and sat nav items.
How can I get in touch?
