Its exterior grade vinyl. With the amount you get for your money its cheap enough to replace should it get marked. This trial bit on mine has been on for 6 weeks and not marked in any way.

I've got the stainless middle vane on mine, cost about £90 I think but TLO will be able to confirm.

Just clips over original grille so you can take it off again.

Looks just right on a dark car IMO. Thumbs Up

The instructions for installing the center grill spar / vane are in my gallery as a pdf. It appears that to install the center spar / vane grill accessory you have to saw out the LR badge. For those of you that did this, did you have to cut away the LR badge? Is it possible to install the grill spar / vane without removing? Thanks! Thumbs Up

could someone like this company make a D4 grill for a D3 and use D3 fittings? They do all sorts of stuff.

http://rearguards.co.uk/vehicleapplications.html

I'm using them for an Astra Twin top bumper protector (Someone reversed into a wall this morning!!! Censored not me! )

If they had a D3 grill as a template and a D4 one for the design they might be able to something... anyone live near by who could pop in and have a word?

where is the snow on the D4 or don't they work in the snow? Whistle

@jjvd21

Just received the LR center grill piece. The part doesn't fit properly without cutting the badge. I haven't done it yet, but just sticking it over the current grille will leave a consideryble gap on the right side. I like the look of it and therefore will get the saw out and trim the badge part flat. Hopefully without destroying the whole thing.

cheers

Sawed off the old badge and attached the new LR steel middle grille. Quite easy to do. I like the look since I also have the LR side steps which are silver as well. Also got some colored wheel arches, which I will fit when it gets a bit warmer.

Cheers

Liking the Grille alot Very Happy Thumbs Up ,but i wouldn't want to be cutting a gurt big hole in my grille to accommodate it Sad Sad ,Doesn't the badge popout by pushing from the rear? Or can it not be prised out from the front.
ha anybody got a fitting instruction?

Cheers

I guess if you don't mind that the new grille insert will be slightly off on the right side (since the LR badge on the original grille below is sticking out a bit too much) you can just leave it on. It's not a lot, maybe 2-3mm. But since I'm going to stick with the new silver piece I didn't mind cutting it for a better fit.

The badge on the grill is recessed and a pain to get off without damaging it or the grill. Most tend to sacrifice the badge with a new one.

Best way to remove is with a self tapping screw through the middle, it lifts the badge as it goes through the grill, still a little hole in the grill, but less damage than a saw, its how I did it when changing to Black Thumbs Up

Just fitted the centre stainless grille bar at the weekend.

Couple of points...

The instructions show that the grille should be bonded as well as bending tabs over (sourced tube of Sikaflex from local motor factors) so once fitted there is no way it is coming off again!

Worth taking time ensuring that enough of the grille badge and it's surround is removed so that the stainless grille sits totally flush (easy to see how much to remove from back side of grille)

Found easiest way to remove the grille surround was to chain drill lots of holes right around and then finish of with stanley blade.

Once main grille has been fitted back onto car it is very difficult to see where grille has been mutilated....in fact I think you would need to stand on your head and even then possibly still need a mirror!

Very happy with how it turned out. It certainly has helped to provide a nice bit of contrast to a once very black front end!
