D3 wheel arch painting tips requested
Hi I have a few days off and want to paint my textured wheel arch trims java black, could any one advise as to what grade of sanding disc to use to reduce the textured finish before I prime and paint the arches, as i dont want to put to many sanding marks into the plastic and i dont want to purchase the smooth arches that are available.
Thanks

The only thing I'd add to the list of materials in the above link would be, High Build primer. It does what it says, lays down a heavy primer layer, that'll make it easier to cover the rough surface and give a good base for the top coats.

I rubbed primed and painted a set of textured D3 arches till they were super smooth.
High build plastic primer is a must.
It isn’t difficult and I done it by hand a DA would wreck them, the texture is easily removed with a few different grades of paper.

Ah right, hand sanding such curves is the only way to go. Any form of mechanical sanding would be likely to take to much off.
