Have D4,5 headlights on my D3. The xenons are on in all the positions for the lightswitch. Will this change if I change from Scandinavian to North America lights?
Would be nice if it's just the LEDs on in parklight position.

Didn't know there was an NA option. (there is for trailer/towbar)
Canada is an option. This put the xenon's on too.
Turn Sweden and Canada off

Turning them both off would stop the lights coming on in daylight.
If you have a switch position Auto with light sensor, they should come on when dark

I thought they where deposed to do that. Will try it then. Thank you
Do you know if the BCM need to be updated for doing the change? Turned on the 3 flash turn signal, but still haven't dared to do the update. New at the IID tool.

no the BCM does not require update for that (i've never done it )
Make sure the battery is connected to a charger when doing CCF edit or programming

Got it done today, but in parklight position there is no light at all. Shouldn't the LEDs be on?

I think that maybe with the issue due to D3 to D4 conversion.
A wire may need moving on the headlight plugs.
Sorry I can’t help

A battery charger connected while re-programming is wrong advice a power supply yes or a second battery with jump leads, connected to another car or not is ok, I’ve never found it necessary so long as the battery is in good state of charge and only one update is done in one period.
The Iid tool automatically checks the state of the battery before it commences an update, if the battery is low charged the process is aborted and the operator informed. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

A 25amp Ctec on power suppy mode is ok, because it’s supplying power not charging, if on charging mode it can do untold damage to the modules as it is not supplying “clean” power, neither does any other charger, for confirmation email GAP, I know what the answer will be.
Power from another battery via jump leads, whether or not the battery is still on a car and with or without the engine running is clean and constant It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Strange, ODIS (VAG diagnose) tells you to apply a battery charger when messing with it.

I guess its just about believable that a smart charger could cause electrical noise in some stages. You have a massive battery to smooth it out though.
The good thing about a charger is it keeps the voltage high and charges the battery to prevent it going flat part way thru programming.
Connecting two batteries together sounds like a very bad idea to me. This just makes the batteries flat and does not increase the voltage. I guess it maybe ok for a short program.
Sounds rather dangerous leaving jump leads connected while your sat inside hunting though pages of CCF options! 2nd battery would be flat by then!
