If you have or know someone with a IID tool get them to check the quantity of oil. Very accurate reading under Live Values ....6 litres is OK for TDV6.

How many miles have you done since it was serviced?- what springs to mind has the oil filter not been fitted correctly and oil is running back from the filter into the sump when stood?- easily done by a non LR garage Sad


The D4 filter doesn't have a locator, so can't really be badly fitted , it sound like the level is at the upper limit, personally I'd get a suction pump and remove oil until it's just below the full line I run mine 1 division down from full Thumbs Up
