D4 Bluetooth
I have a 2010 D4 with the factory Bluetooth, and an iPhone, but the Bluetooth for calls is rubbish, it wont stay connected to the car. I have to manually reconnect with the phone almost after each call.
I knew the D3 had issues with Bluetooth and I used the exchange provided by Wiggs - but I thought the D4 was a better system?

Mine is amazing when it works, and as you said people dont know I am in the car.
I have an old iPod connected to the 30pin, wounder if that could be causing an issue?
I might factory rest the iPhone and see if that helps.

I have a 2011 and for the most part it's fine, however the issue I get is that sometimes when I answer the call the sound doesn't come via the car but reverts back to the phone so I can't hear. I have to switch Bluetooth off and reconnect before it works again.
However I had the same problem in my Audi that the discovery replaced, so I'm putting that down to IOS or my phone, not the car.Jaguar I-Pace HSE imminent.

Yep same. Never had an issue with it not connecting. iPhone 6S
Could it be your phone is the issue?

I will see what apple say... and I have a crappy windows phone for work, I will pair that and see waht happens. You have ruled out any common issues with the car.

Well I used my windows phone for a week without any problems, so called into Apple Genius Bar to find out I needed a replacement handset and my current one was 20 days out of warranty. Called my service provider to find out I had ages left on my contract so upgrading wasn’t an option, but luckily I found that I have another warranty provided by my network, so picked up a new replacement phone from Apple on Sunday and it’s been working fine since, so hopefully that’s it sorted now

I've just upgraded to the iphone X and I'm still having the same issue with my bluetooth, but as it was the same with my last iphone and audi i can't see it's the car side, must be apples bluetooth stack. playing up, I have to turn off bluetooth and then restart it and reconnect as the calls answer from the steering wheel, but audio comes out of the phone not the bluetooth.Jaguar I-Pace HSE imminent.
