My old MY11 halogens were also brighter than the MY16 xenons on main beam. Only the dip is better, which is a bit disappointing really. Find myself thinking spots might be a good idea on the MY16.

Just upgraded the Xenon D3S bulb with an Osram nightbreaker - a considerable difference with a longer and stronger fuller pattern.

Relatively easy job (just remember the bezel) and on special at the moment at around £50 a side.
 Last of the D4 HSE...

If the gap bothers you, I believe powerful UK do an infill strip - it’s certainly in their video on how to do the upgrade without a bumper change.
They also show a new “cover” for the fog lights, although it’s not available as of yet.

IMHO the newer lower grille looks quite a lot different so without it its not really a full facelift. Neutral

The bumper Gary?

It's only the fog light surround really, I does define the age if you know what to look for, but I think it's minor compared the lights and grille Confused

Its very much different the central bar/diffuser is much wider making the fog light ends much thinner plus the fog lights and foglight surrounds as you say...

I do like the new fog surrounds, but as I've got all I need to fit the earlier ones and a new set of Phillips DRL fogs, upgraded Xenons and black pack grill, I'll be sticking with my original front end Thumbs Up

Well for now Laughing

Just looked at the "conversion" kit for fog lights, they're stick on bezels Rolling Eyes

2014 + has a recessed mount, these are a stick on cover that'll protrude from the bumper sadly

^ To be honest its really not just the nice new square Foglight surrounds its the slimline area around it compared to the very bulky look of the pre 2014 bumper ends - the volume of paintwork is at least double. On the older car the central Black part of the bumper is 60% of the total width. On the 2014+ its 72% of total width giving a much slimer look to the car. Therefore even with the new lights & grille its not going to look 2014+ without the correct bumper & Fog kit....
