D4 in Daily Telegraph

Photo of D4 partially visible behind Duchess of Cambridge inside of today ‘s Telegraph. Just wondered why it wasn’t a publicity grabbing shot involving a D5. Whistle

Just a thought - there is an armored version of the D4 but (I think?) none of the D5 (yet?)

Perhaps they don’t swap cars like some people swap t-shirts or socks Thumbs Up

The queen still drives a L322 Range Rover, so the D4 is relatively new.

Both classic “Old Money” cars Thumbs Up
Three very nice FL2’s and two superb Disco 4’s to date 👍
With them both sadly out of production and a new car needed, I’ve defected to a SDV8 Full Fat 😁

Does this mean that we’ve got to go out and buy a copy of the Telegraph?!

Oh well, at least it’s not the Daily Mail... Shocked Shocked

Years ago driving over the A939 from Tomintoul towards Ballater in the days when when the roads were deserted we passed Her Majesty driving a Range Rover. She appeared alone and without escort. She was in residence at Balmoral at the time.

I passed Duke of Edinburgh driving a green Discovery 2 on the M40 in the early 2000's - security sat in the back

Hogging the middle lane at about 65 MPH

I was on a single track road and pulled in to a passing place. Didn’t get an MBE. Big Cry

My mate works as close protection to the Royal family. He gets to drive all kinds of stuff, including some rather special sports cars!

Iirc a few years back the link to a green freelander 2 appeared here being sold by royalty
 D3 K300NJH- still going strong
D3 K400NJH- gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 HD05- gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone but not not forgotten
Too scared of listing the other marques for fear of ridicule
